Marion Matilda Heath

Marion Matilda Heath, affectionately known as "Big M," passed away peacefully on April 7, 2025, at the age of 89 in Bastrop, Texas. Her journey began on November 24, 1935, in Lynn, Massachusetts, where her vibrant spirit first took root. Marion's remarkable life was defined by her illustrious career as an inventor and entrepreneur, alongside her dedicated service in the United States Air Force Civil Service. Her tenure in Telecom Operations was marked by groundbreaking innovations that significantly advanced military communications. Through her hard work and dedication, she earned numerous accolades and recognition throughout her distinguished career, leaving a lasting impact on those who had the privilege of working alongside her. Beyond her professional achievements, Marion had a profound love for the outdoors. She was a prolific landscaper and gardener, finding solace and joy in nurturing nature's beauty. Her passion for the environment was reflected in the lush, vibrant spaces she created, which were a testament to her creativity and dedication. Marion had two lovely companion cats throughout her life. She adored Socks for his entire life and most recently devoted her affection to caring for Boots. Marion was preceded in death by her beloved husband, USAF Veteran Wayne T. Heath. She is survived by her three loved children: Randy Heath, Lisa & Mark Wulff, and Bradley & Kimberly Heath. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, who brought her immense joy: Artie & Kimberly Cook, Ryan Wulff, Morgan Heath, Braden & Meghan Heath, Brianna Heath, Austin Heath, Aden Heath, Gabrielle Heath, and Amelie Heath. Additionally, she was a proud great-grandmother to Vivian, Noah, and Jordan. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held on Friday, April 18th, at 9:30 AM at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, located at 2929 E. Pinnacle Peak Rd., Phoenix, Arizona. Marion Matilda Heath will be lovingly remembered for her contributions, her nurturing spirit, and the warmth she brought into the lives of those around her.
