Maximino Nieto Obituary

Maximino Hernandez Nieto Sr., loving husband, father, tata, and brother, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, September 1, 2025 surrounded by his loved ones. Maximino is survived by his wife, Josie Nieto; his children, April, Max, and Adam Nieto; and his grandchildren, Aliza, Malarie, Matias, Sophie, and Damien Nieto. He is also survived by three siblings: Merced, Carmen, and Celsa, as well as many lifelong friends. Maximino was born on June 8, 1955 in San Luis Potosí, Mexico to Zacarias and Marcos Nieto. Max moved to Texas in the 1970s and made Arizona his home in 1980. On February 13, 1982, he married his beloved wife, Josie, and together they raised three beautiful children, who were the most important part of his life. Maximino was a hardworking, compassionate man who was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, expecting nothing in return. He took great pride in his construction work and landscaping business. Always the jokester, Max loved spending time outdoors, fishing, gardening, and taking care of his many pets. Full of heart and true grit, Max preferred a simple life, cherishing every moment spent with his wife, children, and grandchildren. His generosity, sense of humor, and love for his family will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
