Michael Ritchie Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that the family of Michael Arthur Ritchie announces his passing on July 9th, 2025 at the age of 75. Michael, affectionately known as Mike, was born on July 8th, 1950, in Illinois. He lived a full and vibrant life, leaving behind cherished memories for his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Mike spent much of his career as a dedicated mail carrier in California, a job that allowed him to connect with countless people over the years. But more than his work, Mike was a loving father to his four daughters, Valerie, Dianne, Rachelle, and Joy raising them with unwavering care and a sense of humor that kept everyone around him smiling. His greatest joy came from his family, and he always prioritized them above all else. Mike's love for life was evident in his passions-he had an undeniable enthusiasm for motorcycles, drums, and music. He remained young at heart, enjoying every moment of the things that brought him joy, and sharing that enthusiasm with everyone he encountered. His sense of humor and zest for life were infectious, always lighting up a room. Mike met his beloved wife, Carol, through a shared love of bowling, and they spent many happy years together. In the later part of his life, Mike found fulfillment and peace in his church community. His dedication to his faith was evident as he traveled, made music, sang, danced, and entertained others with his spirit. His love for life, music, and faith will forever be remembered by those whose lives he touched. Mike is survived by his loving wife, Carol Ritchie and brother Jim ; his daughters, Valerie, Dianne, Rachelle, Joy; his grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends who will miss him dearly. A mass will be held on August 9th, 2025 at 10am at All Saints Catholic Church 1534 N Recker Rd, Mesa, AZ 85205 followed by a memorial service at Mountain View Cemetery, 7900 E Main St, Mesa, AZ 85207and a celebration of life to follow at Sunland Springs Village in Mesa. All who knew him are invited to attend and share their memories of a man whose laughter, joy, and love of life will never be forgotten. Mike Ritchie will always be remembered for his warmth, his humor, and the love he shared with those around him. His legacy lives on in his family, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
