Robert Mark Moore

Robert M. Moore Robert M. Moore (Bob), 69, of Sun City West, Arizona, formerly of Rockford, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 29, 2025. He was born on August 10, 1955, in Rockford, Illinois to Robert and Arline Moore. Bob graduated from Rockford Thomas Jefferson High School in 1974. He graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder, in 1979 with a bachelor's degree. He married Diana Phelps in September of 1983. He was a step-father to four children, Gary, David, Scott and Jennifer. Bob was employed by the Rockford School District for 25 years as a Building Engineer. After retirement he supervised handicapped individuals doing maintenance work. Bob was a caring and compassionate person helping anyone who needed help. He loved skiing, nature and the outdoors, hiking many trails with his wife, Diana. He was also an avid reader. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Arline Moore and his brother-in-law Ronald Mund. Bob is survived by his wife, Diana Moore of Sun City West, Arizona, his step-children, Gary Phelps (Gus), of Merida, Mexico, David Phelps of Rockford, Illinois, Scott Phelps (Renee) of Rockford, Illinois, and Jennifer Winch (Michael) of Rochelle, Illinois, his sister, Kathy Mund (Glen), of Rockford, Illinois, a nephew, Eugene Mund and a niece Tonya Bagwell (Brian) of Rockford, Illinois, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date in Rockford, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Alzheimer's Association. Love and miss you forever!
