Rose Agonda Coury Obituary

Rose Coury, 81, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2025, in Mesa, Arizona. Born on June 13,1944, in Ypsilanti, Michigan, Rose lived a life marked by devotion to her family, her faith, and the many creative passions that brought her joy. Rose was the beloved wife of the late Samuel F. Coury. Their bond was one of deep love and mutual respect-a connection that remained strong throughout their lives together and beyond. She was a devoted mother to her daughter Tina Marie Simmons and son Allen Ray Simmons, who will forever cherish her unwavering love and guidance. A woman of many talents and interests, Rose found joy in sewing, solving puzzles, making jewelry and taking on home improvement projects. She had a special fondness for water, whether it was the serenity it offered or the memories it held. Her spiritual life was central to who she was. Rose attended Mesa Baptist Church alongside her husband Sam under the leadership of Pastor Woody. Her voice became a cherished part of worship services; she often sand solos and duets with her daughter and was invited to perform special music at other churches as well. Her involvement extended into the Cowboy Ministry, where she played an active role in sharing her faith with others. Rose loved the Lord dearly and lived out her beliefs with grace and sincerity. Those who knew Rose remember her as loving, kindhearted, spiritual, and deeply family-oriented-the best mother a son and daughter could ever ask for. Her presence brought warmth to every room she entered, and her absence will be felt profoundly by all who were fortunate enough to know her. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and lover her.
