Sedona Gabrielle Obituary
Sedona Gabrielle (Diane Daley) Obituary
Sedona Gabrielle, of Peoria, Arizona, passed away due to complications related to COPD on August 7, 2025, at the age of 78.
Born September 28, 1946 in Phoenix, Arizona she was the eldest daughter of Celia "Sally" Trias Acedo and Daniel C. Daley. At the age of 7, her family moved to Downy, California, where Diane was raised by her parents alongside her brother Larry and her sister Denise. She graduated from El Rancho High School in Pico Rivera, California. She spent several years in multiple cities in Southern and Northern California and eventually moved back to Arizona in the late 1970's. In her early years she worked as a waitress in several restaurants particularly La Piñata in Phoenix. She spent the second half of her life with the name Sedona Gabrielle that she chose for herself. She devoted these years to taking care of her family including her youngest daughter, Rachael as well as her two eldest grandchildren and her nieces before becoming school aged and during summers. Sedona also lovingly cared for her aging mother until she passed in 2020.
Sedona was a proud mother to her three daughters, Elizabeth "Lisa", Stephanie, and Rachael. She was always their biggest cheerleader, and she will forever be remembered for singing, dancing, and cheering any chance she got. She cherished her role as grandmother, to Jessica, Reyna, Vincent, Isabella, Xavier, and Adrian and she was blessed with two great grandchildren Ezekiel and Evie.
Creative and kindhearted, Sedona was known for her love of crafting, painting, and decoupage. She seldom used wrapping paper for gifts as she preferred decoupage and handpicked images for each gift she wrapped. She loved fashion and she always had her own sense of style regardless of current trends. Her favorite pastimes included spending time with her grandchildren, shopping at the 'segunda', or eating/singing/talking about "cookies, cake, and ice cream".
Those who knew Sedona will remember her for her generosity, warm spirit, and the joy she brought to every gathering of family and friends. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
Per her wishes, there will be no formal ceremony. Instead, her family will host a celebration of life in her honor on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at 2pm at Lisa's house in Phoenix.
