Thomas A. Moses

Thomas A. Moses 87, aka "The Hat Man", originally of Glencoe, IL and currently of Surprise AZ for the past 13 years at The Grand, passed away peacefully under the gentle care of Hospice of the Valley on August 9th, 2025. Beloved husband and lifelong partner for 61 years to Cathie, nee Kaufman. Loving father of Wendi (Bob) Lood and Nanci (Kevin) Martinez. Cherished Baba of Taylor, Matthew, Madison, JT, Michael and Jessica. Great GrandBaba of Avery and Ellie. Dear brother of the late Judi Moses and Bonus brother of Alyce (Ronald) Pilarski. Loving uncle of KatieBeth (Oscar) Lozada and Raechel (Shawn) Judevine. Special great uncle to Millie, Natalie and Henry. He will be missed by many friends and family. Tom was a devoted family man and all-around gamer (Backgammon, Cribbage, Poker, Bowling and countless hours on the computer playing games). He loved to spend Sundays watching Golf and Football. Tom could often be found delighting the public as Santa Claus and as the Easter Bunny and earlier performing on ice entertaining fans as Miss Mosia and Bashful the Clown. Next to his family, his heart was completed by his four-legged family members, currently Maggie. There will be a memorial service in Tom's honor Friday, August 15th at 1:30pm-2:30pm at Camino del Sol Funeral Chapel & Cremation Center 13738 W Camino del Sol, Sun City West, AZ 85375. Following the service is Visitation at an Open House at Tom and Cathie's home.
