William Michael "Bill" Briski

William "Bill" Michael Briski, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home in Laveen on July 11, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on November 20, 1946, in Chicago, Illinois, Bill was the cherished son of the late James Briski Sr. and Eleanor Briski. Bill will be fondly remembered for his infectious smile, a signature warmth that could light up any room. His repertoire of corny Dad jokes was legendary among family and friends, always lifting spirits and sparking laughter. A true sports enthusiast, Bill found joy in sharing the excitement of the game-whether watching, playing, or coaching, his passion was unmistakable. Proudly serving in the United States Army from 1965 to 1968, Bill earned the Expert Rifle Badge and the National Defense Service Ribbon, a testament to his commitment and skill. Left to honor his memory are his devoted wife, Michele M. Briski; his loving daughter, Christine L. Briski-Wood; three adored granddaughters; and three great-grandchildren. Bill's legacy of kindness, humor, and unwavering love lives on in each of them. William is reunited in heaven with his beloved daughter, Renee Ann Briski, and his brother, James Briski Jr. Though their absence is deeply felt by those who remain, there is comfort in knowing that William is embraced by those he missed so dearly. Bill will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His gentle spirit, laughter, and the joy he brought will echo in our hearts forever. A committal service to honor and celebrate Bill's life will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance, share stories, and pay tribute to a remarkable life well-lived. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorial donations be made to an animal charity of your choice, honoring Bill's compassionate spirit and lifelong love for animals.
