Rose Anderson Obituary

Rose Marie Anderson, 95, passed on to the Great Mystery at Copperfield Hill Residence in Robbinsdale, MN, December 18, 2025.

She is preceded in death by her spouse Alfred "Bud" William Anderson; her parents Joseph J. Mickels and Margaret Mickels (Minette); siblings Loretta Bierschbach (Matthew), Clarence Mickels (Bonita) and John Mickels.

Rose is survived by her sister-in-law Bonita Mickels; loving children Michael (Jeanine) and Bill (Jody); grandchildren Marta Lindsey (Andrew), Ian (Samantha), Gillian Tobin (Ryan), Lauren Anderson and Nolan Anderson; great-grandchildren Betsy, Helena, Elise, Oliver and Eleanor.

Rose grew up on a farm near Sauk Center, MN. She attended Saints Peter and Paul Catholic School and graduated from Sauk Center High School. Alfred "Bud" and Rose were married in 1951. After Bud's military service, they moved first to Coon Rapids and then to Anoka, MN, where she lived from 1959 to 2025. She had a career as a dietician and served at Maple Manor Nursing Home in Anoka for 25 years before retiring after Bud's death in 1995. A longtime member of St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Rose volunteered for over 30 years as a member of the church cleaning crew where she made many friends. For decades, she worked at the ticket booth at the annual church festival. Rose was an avid gardener, loved her flowers, and her landscape was the envy of many. She was a regular vendor at local craft shows where she sold her crocheted creations and was famous for her "Scrubbies."

The family is forever grateful to Amy and Amy's "Angels" at Copperfield Hill Senior Living for their loving care of Rose, and thankful for the wonderful hospice care team at Interim Healthcare: Carly, Shannon, James and Sarah.

A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, January 12th at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, 525 Jackson Street, Anoka, MN. Visitation is 10:30 AM at the church. In lieu of flowers or gifts, please send memorials to Animal Humane Society or Alzheimer's Foundation.
