Anne Anastacia Wegener, known affectionately as Momma, Nanny, and Auntie Anne, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2025, at the age of 90. Born on March 29, 1935, Anne dedicated her life to serving others as a nurse for 52 years before retiring. She resided in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she was a devout member of the Catholic Church, regularly attending Mass at the Shrine of Saint Bernadette.

Anne cherished her family immensely and is survived by her daughter, Carla Brooks and her son-in-law, Timothy Brooks. She was a doting grandmother to Jenna Brooks and her husband Victor, Kaylie Brooks and her partner Angela, and a proud great-grandmother to Gracyn and Santos Chavero. She also leaves behind her dear brothers, Jose and Donato Lucero, and sister-in-law Rosella Lucero.

In her later years, Anne found immense joy in spending time with her great-grandchildren, engaging in playful games of hide-and-seek, dress-up and sharing the magic of stories. Her vibrant spirit and deep love for her family created countless memorable moments that will be cherished forever.

A Rosary will be held at the Shrine of Saint Bernadette at 9:30 am and a Mass at the same location at 10:00 am. A graveside service will take place at South Park Cemetery on August 29, 2025, at 12:00 pm. Anne will be laid to rest, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and devotion to her family and faith.
