Chuck was the first person I met when I started my education to become a psychologist. I remember so many nuggets of wisdom from him that I still repeat today after so many years. Thank you for being a model psychologist. Will offer my prayers at Mass tomorrow for you and your family.

Laura, I was so stunned and saddened to learn of Chuck´s passing. He was a wonderful person, a gifted clinician and professor. His research and writing abilities showed in the many publications of his students and his own, as well as all the books he and you wrote together. He was always generous with his time with students and anyone who needed his help. I so enjoyed teaching and collaborating with him at Fielding for many years. I loved his sense of humor and dry wit. In all the years I knew him, he was never happier than when you and he began your relationship. You were the light of his life. My heart goes out to you and your family. Maureen Lassen

I knew Dr. Elliott for a few years back in the 80's. I attended an occasional group that discussed cases with him.
As the obituary indicates, he was an excellent, multi-talented clinical psychologist. His career was remarkable in that he was very competent, simultaneously, in the following areas:
a. doing clinical work with patients;
b. functioning as faculty with the Fielding Institute;
c. publishing multiple books and articles.
He is, certainly, one of the most outstanding clinical psychologists in New Mexico.
My condolences to his family, Robert L. Duncan

Chuck was a dear friend and greatly respected professional colleague. We were fortunate to enjoy multiple visits with him and Laura in their New Mexico homes. We miss you, old friend.

The world became a much sadder place with Dr. Elliott's passing. For more than 10 years he provided our family member and our family with relief from the OCD that tormented us. He provide compassionate counseling, support and understanding and greatly improved the lives of all involved. Since his retirement about 10 years ago we have all struggled to find someone to take over treatment and move us forward. Sadly, we have not found that help available here in Albuquerque and have seen our family situation continue to deteriorate. God bless Dr. Elliott and all those whose lives he touched.
