Charles Henry Lenz Jr.



Charles Henry

Lenz Jr., age 92, passed away in Rio Rancho, NM on Monday, May 17, 2021. He was born February 17, 1929 to

Charles and Clara Lenz Sr. in Seymour, Indiana.

He graduated Western Hills High School, Cincinnati, OH, Class of 1947. He proudly served in the

U.S. Navy from 1948-1952, during the Korean War on the USS Leyte. He was a recipient of a Good Conduct Medal, Korean Service Medal and a Navy Occupation Service Medal. He married the love of his life, Alma M. Grenier in April 1951. He founded C. H. Lenz & Sons, which later became C.H. Lenz Building Contractor. He was a member of VFW Post 5890 in Rio Rancho, NM.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Clara Lenz; sister, Esther E. Cline; brother-in-laws, Alfred Grenier and Harold Cline.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Alma Grenier Lenz; son,

Michael C.

Edgewood, NM; daughter, Cheryl (Terry) Meyer of Cincinnati, OH; grandchildren, Michael (Elena) Lenz of Albuquerque, NM, Amy Lenz of Albuquerque, NM, Tiffany (Zach) Boechman of Cincinnati, OH; great-grandchildren Jakob Lenz, Gabriella Lenz, Faith Lenz, all of Albuquerque, NM.
