Christopher Melo Obituary
Christopher Melo passed away on December 20, 2021, at 53 years old. A son, partner, older brother, uncle, great friend, community volunteer and above all else an amazing father.
Chris is survived by his parents, Frank and Cindy Melo, Sidney Pollard; children Lauren and Christian Melo, their mother Dina Melo; partner Janine Zebick, and her children, Brian, and Emily; his brother Matthew and his wife Lisa; his sister Jodie (Zicker) and her husband Michael; and other family members. He was preceded in death by his mother Diane Melo.
The family would like to thank the amazing caregivers and staff at UNMH Trauma ICU for providing exceptional care for Chris. Thank You!
Flowers can be sent to FRENCH-Wyoming, or donations in lieu can be made to Altamont Little League or Make-A-Wish New Mexico in Chris's memory.
Services will be held on Friday, January 7th, at The Church of The Incarnation, 2309 Monterrey Rd. NE, Rio Rancho, NM 87144 with Visitation at 9:30 am, Rosary at 10:30 am and Mass at 11:00am.
A Celebration of Christopher's Life will subsequently be held on January 7th from 2:30 to 5:30 pm at the Albuquerque Marriott Pyramid North, 5151 San Francisco Rd. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87109. Please visit our online guestbook for Christopher at

Chris and I went to Del Norte and we were friends since 10th grade. My name is David Smith and with Lee Brown and Brian Danfield and Todd Hileman we had a lot of great memories. I'm so sorry for your loss. I will miss him.

Truly a shock..we had breakfast couple weeks of this major loss,,was all excited about his boys baseball,talked about our past Las Vegas NHRA trips...Rest in Peace Cris.
