Conrad Felt Obituary

Conrad Anthony "Tony" Felt

Conrad Anthony "Tony" Felt passed away suddenly at the age of 69 on Sunday, April 21 in Placitas, New Mexico. Tony was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on November 11, 1954, to Conrad Edward Felt and Elena "Helen" Alderete Felt. Tony spent childhood years in New Mexico, Japan, Utah, Texas, Maryland, Virginia and Washington, DC. He attended Del Norte High School and lived in Albuquerque.

He had a larger-than-life personality and lived his life with intensity, conviction, and passion. He loved his children deeply and loved his grandchildren beyond measure. He was playful, clever, witty, fun loving, and just a little irreverent and he kept us all laughing, all the time.

Tony could make, fix, or build anything owing to his exceptional curiosity, well-honed skills, and artistic sensibilities. He worked for many years in the film industry as prop maker in movies such as Godless, The Comeback Trail, Vengeance, News of the World, Logan and the television series Graves. He had many hobbies, including motorcycle enthusiast and steel artisan. As steel artisan, he made medieval helmets and armor and was considered one of the premier helmet makers in the world.

Tony is survived by his wife Sally Thompson Felt and his adored children Dillon Felt (Monique), Dustin Felt (Julia) and Cassandra Smiel (Sam). He was known lovingly as Poppy to his 11 grandchildren Dominik, Bella, Italy, Lauren, Keana, Deanna, Tia, Valentine, Sofia, Phoenix and Prince. In addition, Tony was a brother extraordinaire to his siblings Leonard Felt, Mikki Lohmann (the late Alan), Joseph Felt (Jackie), Teresa Sarai (Baldev), and Irene Larkin (Dan). He also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. We will cherish him forever and will miss him terribly.

A celebration of life will be held at a future date.

I was fortunate to work very closely with Tony on my own helm. He was smart, tireless and generous. My condolences to the family. He was a good dude.

Dad, I never imagined loosing you this early in life. Having you as a father for 37 years wasn´t nearly enough. You will forever live on through me and my children. My memories with you and your humor and wise words will forever be etched in my mind as long as I shall live. I miss you terribly until we meet again.

Tony was a builder. Of life, of friendships, of master metal artwork, of amazing family. Constructing matters that connected many many people. His legacy will live on in the hearts of hundreds. I and many more will miss this great legend. Be at peace my friend.

My friend Tony was a builder. He built houses and places of business. Be built armor and weapons and tools. Most importantly, he built life-long friendships. I will miss him and his quick wit. Tony, I still have half a tube of All Purpose Porpoise Pus in my tool box because of you...

You are the Smartest man I've ever met. A rememberance that I can not explain to most, when I see a flattened dead toad I picture it wearing a black Barrett, sending me into a smile and giggle with memories only he would pro IDE on that level he proudly was on. You, my friend posses a humor that had attracted me to want to just be a part of the company you kept. I am proud to have been forever cursed (in a good way) with how life through your eyes stayed with me and will continue to until I meet the big light in the sky. Hope we meet again on the outskirts of the next circus called life. I love you! And please hang out on my shoulder as my angel or even my bad angel influence me as you may. The way only you had and forever will. You are one of my heroes. I was your Temptress! Bff
