passed away unexpectantly from heart failure April 15th 2022 in Worcester, MA. Damon was born in Cairo, Egypt February 9th, 1981 and together with his family moved to Yemen, Saudi Arabia and back to Egypt, before arriving in Albuquerque late 1989.

During his years at Hoover Middle School, Damon became deeply involved in the YMCA's Fade II Reality program. This relationship continued throughout his Eldorado High School years as he worked as a counselor at the YMCA's summer programs. He delighted in their community service programs such as feeding the homeless, wheelchair dancing with the elderly and mentoring contributions to his peers. He demonstrated a humor and empathy that appealed to both young and old. While at Eldorado HS he was a member of the championship song and dance team, Goldrush, which brought him many happy experiences and a lifetime of memories. His greatest love? Body building and physical fitness and you knew it the moment you met him! Arnold Schwarzenegger was and remained his greatest hero.

Damon graduated UNM with a double major in Chemistry and Biology and a minor in Psychology. He then successfully completed his education to pursue a career in nursing. However, his ambitions were thwarted for four years when a group of four Assistant District Attorneys accused him of spiking one of their drinks after having already consumed five bottles of wine between them. When the case was finally and justifiably dismissed, Damon successfully became a Registered Nurse. His career started in Albuquerque before taking off as a travelling nurse in California, Colorado and finally, in Massachusetts. He was just about to embark on his next anticipated contract in Connecticut when his life was cut short.

Damon will be remembered for his big heart and giving spirit, especially among the young he came into contact with, but also the old, in particular his oma, Emmy Bagwell, who he cared for during the hiatus in his nursing career. Damon's legacy lies in the hearts of those he knew and loved. His legacy will endure for many lifetimes and bring smiles to those of us that will remember him always. His broad smile, his ready sense of humor and his unselfish spirit have been an example to us all and made it so easy to love him even more.

As well as many friends, left behind to remember him are his parents Colin and Una; his brother Leander (aka Elijah) and wife, Laura, and their children Elijah, Tana, Adoniah, Jahsawah, Nya, Jamal and Hailu. His uncles and aunts, Henry Woodruff (NC); in England, Rodney and Karin Morgan, Maciek and Mary Stolarski ; cousins, Jonathan Woodruff (Sheila) (NC); Magnus Morgan (Julia) (CA); Toby Morgan (Barbara) (Scotland); Ben Morgan (Rasa) (Norway), Anna Stolarski;

Stefan Stolarski (Rosie) (England). Damon is

predeceased by his Oma, Emmy R Bagwell; grandmother, Jess Stearn (England); uncle Leander Woodruff, and cousins Nathan Woodruff and Marcus Woodruff (NC.)

A memorial for Damon will be held at 4pm on Sunday, June 26th in the garden of Koinonia Church, 10405 Comanche NE 87111. It's outside with shade, dress garden casual! The family looks forward to hearing your favorite memory of a time shared with Damon!
