We lived at 1312, which was 3 or 4 houses down from MM Martinez and family. My fondest childhood memories include Dennis and his dad restoring the metallic green Coupe, and learning a lot from both of them. Dennis was someone who all the kids looked up to as a mentor, including me. Seemed like he had a lot of time for us even though we were a lot younger. I had always wanted to come back some day and say thanks. So a belated Thanks, Dennis. And my condolences to the family.
p.s. I also remember the black SS409 and always wanted one just like it.

Dennis and I didn´t speak since our dad passed away, until last year (2023) when I decided to go by unannounced and introduce him to my expecting wife. I´m glad I did, I really missed him and his jovial personality, I just wish I´d have continued to visit. I hope you´re having fun making jokes with our dad. I´ll continue the shooting sports legacy for us.

I was 11 years old when Dennis was 16. He had a great dog named Dan who was a German Shepherd. Dan was well trained. Dennis was restoring a Duce Coupe that he worked on in their drive way. He let me sit on the driveway and hand him tools. He taught me the names of tools. Once, he and Mary iet me take a ride with them in it. He also had a 409 car. I have fondly remembered him all of my life. I am sorry for your loss.

Dennis
You were a great friend and mentor. I will miss you tremendously. I hope to shoot 100 straights again with you in the far future, until then gods speed to reunite you with Brian.
