Young was born to Phillip and Iris Young in Creston, Iowa in May 6th, 1954. The Young family moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico for new opportunities.

Devon graduated from Highland High School in 1972, she later married Edward Dean Swofford in 1974. They had one child, Derek Adam Swofford, who was Devon's pride and joy. In 1988 she met and married William Gregory Frost Sr. She helped raise Greg Jr. as one of her children and fervently cheered both boys on in their academic and athletic endeavors at Annunciation Catholic School and the Menaul School. It was always said Devon's voice and obnoxious instruments of noise and cheer could be heard over the entire crowd.

She enjoyed many years by Greg's side strategically and artfully planning for family, charitable and business related events. Devon was steadily supporting Greg and their family in their growing business's, and lives. She served as the quiet backbone to an extremely successful business built by their teamwork and ideas of both Greg and Devon. She expected no mention, she never was that way, "half of me all of you!"

Devon was known for her generosity, kindness, creativity and sincere love of whom she held dear.

Unfortunately, Devon tested positive for Covid-19 in November of 2020, followed by a debilitating

stroke in December. With fighting spirit Devon was on a great trajectory for recovery when she contracted MRSA and was unable to recover in rehabilitation. Devon was placed on Hospice care again in December of 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Iris and Philip Young and husband

She is survived by her loving siblings: Mark, Brooke and Jaynan. Devon will be sorely missed by: her son Derek, daughter-in-law,

Nicole, three lovely granddaughters, Harper, Presley and Josephine. She is also survived by step-son, Greg Jr. and daughter-in-law, Shauna and lovely granddaughter Ellianna. All of whom she loved with all her heart.
