Drucy Aragon Obituary
Drucy E. Aragon, born March 23, 1946, went home to be with the Lord on March 12, 2023. Drucy was a lifelong resident of Cuba, NM. She graduated from Cuba High School, married the love of her life there, and was the best-babysitter in town for 30+ years. Along with baby-sitting, Drucy was a well known cook, cake baker/decorator and party thrower. Drucy is preceded in death by her parents Lupe and Clory Chavez, brother Frank Chavez, and nephews Jonathan-James Chavez, Raul Santillanes and Larry Espey. She is survived by her husband Flaviano Aragon, son Ruben Aragon, bonus daughter Dallas Schmidt, sister and brother-in-law Frances and Herman Santillanes, niece Sharon Salaz (Mariano), great nieces Janelle Casaus (Levi Jr.), Dyan Chavez, Justine Delgadillo (Danny), four great-great nephews Johnathan, Malakai, Ezekiel and Ryan, and countless other family members and friends. Drucy had the best sense of humor, quick wit and the kindest heart. She will be deeply missed, and forever hold a special place in any heart she ever touched. Special thanks to Silvestre Hurtado Jr for all he does for our family. Drucy was a member of the Cuba Presbyterian Church. Per her request, a Celebration of Life will be held there on Saturday, April 15th, 2023 at 10:30 AM with a reception to follow at the Cuba Immaculate Conception Parish Hall.

I'm not related,in fact im pretty sure I didn't meet this beautiful lady. That's unfortunate for me, although I did have the pleasure of being dear friends with her nephews, Raul Santillanes & Larry Espey, who I loved & love so VERY much still. I'd like nothing more than to connect with you again Raul... Brother. Pete just left me to go hang with Larry, I suppose. Sure could use your strength right now, feels like I'm just going to stop breathing anymoment... I wish it were so!

Flaviano, Ruben,Francis and family, how our hearts break that we can´t be with you as you say farewell to Drucy! We loved her and will always remember the memories she made for us through the years. We were blessed to have had her and her family in our life! Her friendship will always be treasured!

My deepest condolences go out to Ruben, Flaviano, Frances, Herman and the rest of the family. Dru was pick me up person. I was down and bummed out I would call Dru, and she make me laugh, she made me feel a lot better. Sure, will miss you Dru, I and many, many others.
