Crucita "Cruz" Rose Segura, 77 years old, went to be with our Heavenly Father on September 5, 2023. She was born in Capulin, New Mexico, to her loving Mother, Teresina Martinez on December 9, 1945 and raised by her loving parents Margarito and Ursulita Vigil. In 1964, she graduated as Salutatorian of her class at Cuba High School. After graduation, she was married on June 27 to Amadeo Segura and they made Farmington, New Mexico their home. She worked for St. Marys Catholic Church for several years until becoming a Mother. She wholeheartedly devoted her life to raising her daughters and caring for her family. Crucitas love for her Heavenly Father was expressed in her daily life, in both the way that she lived and in how she treated all those around her. She loved attending church, listening to her favorite music and tending to her cherished plants and flowers. She enjoyed traveling and creating lasting memories with her family. Crucita was a very loving Mother, and an especially loving and patient Grandmother. She cherished time spent with her grandchildren and especially her great-grandchildren. We will always remember the way she would uniquely call each Grandchild by their own nickname which most commonly was their full name. In Heaven, Crucita joins her husband of 58 years, Amadeo Segura, her parents Margarito and Ursalita Vigil, brothers Leonard Chavez and Max Vigil and sister, Rachel Vigil. She is survived by her daughters, Lisa and husband Wyatt T. Sexton II of Cedar Park, Texas; Audrey and husband Reggie Maez of Bloomfield, New Mexico and Lisa Marie Jacquez Collins of Aztec, New Mexico; eleven grandchildren, Justin Aguilar, Ambrosio, Tomas and Aiden Sexton, Bryan Montoya, Monique, Gina, Daphne, Heather and Reggie Alex Maez, and Mandie (Jacob) Crane; five great grandchildren, Teller Ray Maez, Serenity Renae Cruz and Patience McKinney, Ella and Max Crane. She is also survived by her Mother, Teresina Martinez; sisters Sarah (Arturo) Montoya, Helen (Orlando) Maestas, Vangie Juarez, Molly (George) Sanchez, Carolyn Vigil, Bernadette (Chris) Serrano, Susanna Sandoval and Gail Martinez; and brother, Joe (Frances) Vigil. Crucita is also survived by sister-n-laws Elvira (Leonard) Chavez, Agatha (Eulalio) DeHerrera and Ferminia (Nick) Segura, and numerous nieces and nephews each of whom she loved dearly. Crucita Rose lives forever in the memories that we keep.
