Eleanor Vigil Obituary

Eleanor Cristobella Vigil

Eleanor Cristobella Vigil, 89 who in her own words "Lived a beautiful life" passed away on March 17, 2022. Even though her health took her away from this world her heartfelt love for her family continues to envelope all who know and love her. She was a passionate artist, shopper and traveler in her life having visited many places both here in the states and abroad, and in each new place she visited she always visited a church in that region, and lit a candle and prayed for the less fortunate. Nanny, as many knew her by, was often found working in her garden where her grand children young and old spent many hours playing and visiting with her, a garden that was designed brick by brick, and plant by plant that grew into living art with hidden treasures and unique plants abound. She also had a great love for her pets. Eleanor spoke of her two sons with great love and pride, always saying that she raised "Perfect, caring, gentlemen." She was a mother to many in her family and built strong lasting relationships especially with her grandchildren. Nanny, we promise to do as you always said, "Surround yourself with the things and people you love and you will always be happy." She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Albert Mike Vigil. Eleanor and Albert were laid to rest June 13, 2022 in Santa Fe, New Mexico at the National Cemetery. She is survived by her two sons, Daniel Vigil and Reno Vigil, their families, and many grand children.
