Elizabeth Timmerman Obituary
Elizabeth Louise (Betty) Timmerman, age 92, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2026, in Albuquerque, NM. She was born on February 10, 1933, in Emporia, KS, and moved to Albuquerque, NM with her young family where she built a life centered on family, faith, and giving back. Betty was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and daughter whose life was marked by faith, resilience, humor, and generosity. She found joy in her church, her swimming and knitting groups, and her fellow volunteers.
She is survived by her children, Susan, Stephen, and Amy, as well as five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Hattie; and by her siblings, Frank J., Margaret, and Robert. The family is grateful for the excellent caregivers at Presbyterian Hospice and Morada Quintessence Assisted Living Facility.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at 3:00 PM, followed by a Rosary at 4:00 PM at French Funerals and Cremations, located at 7121 Wyoming Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109. A Catholic funeral mass will be held on Monday, February 2, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Annunciation Catholic Church, followed by a reception at the adjacent Annunciation Parish Hall, located at 2621 Vermont St NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110. An interment ceremony is being planned at the Pioneer Cemetery on the University of Kansas campus in the Spring.
