Eric C. Gutierrez went to his final resting place on Sunday, September 4, 2016. Eric is preceded in death by his father, Buddy Gutierrez, mother, Loretta Valdez and brother, Vincent Cordova-Gutierrez.

Eric is survived by his wife of 27 years, Karen Gutierrez; daughters, Rebecca and husband, Mike Hernandez, Alicia Gutierrez, Loretta Gutierrez-Vega and wife Stephanie and son Eric Gutierrez Jr. He will be missed by his five grandchildren and his little buddy "Rocky" who was always by his side.

The family would like to thank a special friend Robert, who stood by Eric in some difficult times.

Eric was a master mechanic who worked and supervised in numerous diesel mechanic shops in Albuquerque. Eric also competed in several master mechanic tournaments around the country and was very proud to have taken home numerous awards and trophies for them. Eric had a big heart and was always ready to help anyone in need. He was fiercely loyal to and immensely proud of his family. He will be greatly missed.

Cremation has taken place. You may join the family in a farewell memorial service that will be held on what would have been Eric's 50th birthday on Friday September 16, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Journey Fellowship Church, 9912 Samar Rd NE, Albquerque, NM, 87122. Your finally home Eric, rest in peace!
