Eric Sanderlin Obituary
Eric Michael Sanderlin of Rio Rancho, NM, lost his life to a long battle of Heart Disease on January 3, 2025. He was preceeded in death by his grandpa, Steve M. Kopcak of Rio Rancho, NM and his Grandma Nancy Davis of Apache Junction, AZ.
Eric is survived by his dad, Sean E. Sanderlin; mother, Lynda Thomas; stepmom, Bommie Smith; sister, Jennifer Brown; his loving grandma, Terry E. Kopcak of Rio Rancho, NM; grandpa, Terry K. (Maggie) Sanderlin of Albuquerque, NM; 7 aunties, 9 uncles, and 20 cousins. Eric loved everyone and he enjoyed his 2 beloved dogs, Harley and Shivia.
Eric had two roommates, Joey and Andrew. They were there for Eric no matter what... Thank you guys.
Eric liked to Rock Climb with his cousin, Steven Garcia. Eric also loved to fish with his family and loved going to Elephant Butte for Water Sports. His dad had him on a boat when he was only 6 months old. He loved the water, reading books on History and Philosophy.
Our Eric will be missed dearly, but not forgotten.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, January 15th, 2025 at 10:30am at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church 1502 Sara Rd, Rio Rancho 87124, and interment to follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park.

Eric brought light and joy to those around him. His courageous spirit will be cherished and remembered forever in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be greatly missed. My deepest condolences, thoughts, and prayers to all Eric´s loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.

Eric, there are so many things I never got to tell you. You are and always will be my hero. Please help guide someone into my life to replace the daily conversations you and I had. You were a huge part of my support system. I only wish I could have been a better support for you. I love you so much and I know you're here with me because I feel you and I even hear your voice sometimes. It's just so distant given that I am still bound to this physical body. My heart hurts so much without you but I remind myself not to be so selfish and to be thankful for the time we shared together and thankful you are no longer suffering.
