Erika A. Gonzales



Erika A. Gonzales, age 46, beloved wife, mother, daughter, and sister, passed away after a long illness, Wednesday, January 31, 2018. She was born in Kermit, TX and was a resident of Albuquerque, NM. Erika retired from the Albuquerque Public School System after 14 years.

Erika is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, Phillip Joe Gonzales; her children, Mikaela A. Gonzales and Derrick J. Gonzales. Also surviving are her mother, Deborah A. Segars; her special uncle and aunt, Dennis and Peggy Segars; her maternal grandmother, Ann Campbell; mother-in-law, Mary Ann Gonzales; father-in-law, Phillip Gonzales; brothers-in-law, Ruben Gonzales and wife Andrea, Anthony Gonzales; sister-in-law, Marisa Montoya and husband Mark; her cousins, who she loved as her own siblings, Lisa Shafer and husband Scott, Crystal DuPont and husband Lewis; and a host of friends. Erika will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those whose lives she touched.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, February 9, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Therese Catholic Church, 3424 Fourth St., NW. Committal services will be conducted Monday, February 12, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
