Floyd Parker Obituary
Floyd Cottner Parker, Jr., 84, was born in Raton, NM on June 10, 1933 to Floyd and Roxie Parker, Sr. Floyd spent his childhood in Tucumcari, NM, attended Baylor University in Waco, TX, and medical school at Colorado State University. He was a captain in the Air Force, and a Reservist. He practiced medicine in Tucumcari and Farmington, NM for 40 years.
Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, and an adopted son. He is survived by wife JoAnn; four daughters; two adopted daughters; one stepson; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and a sister, Faustine Cox. He was a fine man, excellent doctor, and loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, husband, brother & friend. He will be dearly missed by all.
Services were held Sat., July 15, 2017 at Tucumcari Memorial Cemetery.

I am alive today thanks to Dr. Parker. For that he will always be in my heart and prayers. Few doctors will leave the office and be with two young, very scared parents at the hospital, canceling appointments, when their five year old is run over and broken. Dr. and Mrs. Parker stayed with us until our son was transported to Amarillo that day. He saved me from Ovarian Cancer by listening and getting me to the right specialist when no one else had any answers or patience. He was my angel.

I've just learned of Dr. Parker's passing. Condolences to this family. I worked for Dr. Parker in Farmington for a few years, and he was a friend of my dad for many years. Thoughts and prayers to you all.

My Mom worked in Dr Parkers doctors office and I went to grade school with Annie. We were buddies and rode horses together, I always wondered what happened to her. I have good child hood memories of Dr Parker and his family. RIP Dr Parker and thoughts and prayers to family, especially Annie!
