Gerald Hastings Obituary
Gerald (Jerry) Hastings, 93, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, was called to his eternal resting place on September 26, 2017. He entered this world on August 4, 1924 in Sayre, PA. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Ruth Hastings; and his daughter, Geraldine (Denna) Stephenson.
Jerry worked for Southern States in Hampton, GA then moved to Albuquerque in 1957 to work for Sandia National Laboratory where he retired in 1992.
He was a veteran in the Army and served in WW II in the American, European African Middle Eastern Theater.
Jerry really loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.
He is survived by his daughters, Jackie Latini, Georgia Bose and husband, Tom, Robbin Hulette and husband, Steve; son-in-law, Burt Stephenson; grandchildren, Erik Bose and wife, Debbie, Mistie Micklevitz and husband, David, Courtney Addie and husband, Jeremy, and Patrick Hulette and wife, Beth; great-grandchildren, Koby, Justin, Austin, Olivia, Sydney, Vance and Shay; and good family friend, Bill Grommes.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 1, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. â€" 6:00 p.m., at FRENCH - University. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 2, 2017, 11:00 a.m., at FRENCH - University, with visitation 1 hour prior. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
