Gloria Vigil Obituary
Gloria, age 86, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully at her home, Sunday, November 29, 2015 while surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Lamy, NM on April 23, 1929 to the late Francisco and Inez Gonzales.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Remigio Vigil; and great-grandson, Carlos Vigil. Gloria is survived by her loving children, Remigio Vigil and wife Mae, Debbie Martinez and husband Rod, Valerie Whitlock, Ron Vigil and wife Exhilda, Ted Vigil and wife Joann; 14 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her three sisters, Emma Esquivel, Cecilia Garcia and husband Mike, Mary Lynn Montoya; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Gloria will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those whose hearts she touched.
A Rosary will be recited Sunday, December 6, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 9520 Fourth St., NW, Albuquerque. Service of Christian Burial will be Monday at 9:00 a.m. Inurnment will be on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at 11:15 a.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
