Herman Vogt Obituary
Herman Joseph Vogt, age 91, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2026.
A lover of life, he was born in Victoria, Texas and grew up in farming and ranching. He later served in the Army and Army Reserve, worked in banking, and ultimately retired as a financial analyst for Los Alamos National Laboratory. He loved gardening and flowers, as evidenced by his abundant, vibrant yards with thousands of flowers that were admired by many.
He is preceded in death by his father, Herman John Vogt, mother, Rose Vogt; brother, David Vogt; sisters, Rose Kloesel, and Mildred Farek.
He is survived by his wife, Madeline Vogt; brother, Don Vogt (Margaret); sons, Christopher Ferguson (Carla), Kevin Vogt (Lynda), Dave Vogt (Janel); stepchildren, Ryan Fuller (Angie) and Jodie Fuller; grandchildren, Madison Vogt and Juliana Liberty; and many nieces and nephews who lovingly referred to him as Uncle Bubby.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Thursday, April 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at FRENCH-Wyoming with interment following at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
