Irwin Welber Obituary
Irwin Welber, age 92, passed away on December 17, 2016. Born on March 3, 1924 in Amsterdam, NY to Phillip and Rose Welber.
He is survived by his sons, Peter, Paul, and David; brothers, Herb and Jack; sister, Shirley Stone, and grandchildren, Jeff and Kelsey Welber.
His beloved wife, Ellen passed away in February of 2015. Irwin had a long and distinguished career with Bell Laboratories and finally with Sandia Laboratories as its President from 1986 to 1989. He and Ellen lived in Albuquerque for 20 years. He will be sorely missed by many.
