My favorite uncle. I will always cherish my visit with him in 2021. So glad I followed the impulse on August morning to drive to New Mexico and see him.

Dad has always described himself as "old school". I can say that the funniest thing that happened to me was when we went to the "old home place" when I was a child. I followed him to the barn to watch him milk a cow. On the way back to the house, I stepped in a cow patty and it kept my shoe!
Dad always shared his wisdom about growing up on the farm and giving me tips on planting tomatoes.
Dad and I had adventures as well. I took him to the symphony, to the 3 ruins, to see the sand cranes at the preserve, to the Longhorn Restaurant (because he wanted a green chili cheeseburger) as well as the many trips to the many Farmer's Markets over the years.
I have added a picture of one of his birthday dinners at The Cheesecake Factory.

My sincere love love and condolences for all of family and siblings. Truman was very a special kind friend that was in my life for several years. We share family, long day trips, long conversations and our ritual Sunday dinners that Debbie cooked for us all. From Dallas Cowboy and other games that we watched with Truman's grandson, James and my son's Special Olympic Games that Truman never missed. Truman was always there for us. I loved Truman's deep western singing voice. And so many years of memories to print. My consolation is knowing he is with Linda, whom he loved so much and missed her very much - they were always 2 hearts together. I still buy purple flowers in her memory every year. Truman, you will always be forever in our hearts.
