James Hutton Obituary

James "Jimbo" Hutton II

James "Jimbo" Hutton II born February 24, 1967 in Los Alamos, New Mexico. He unexpectedly went home with the Lord on November 27, 2017.

Jimbo is survived by his parents, Jim and Marcia Hutton of White Rock, his beloved son Kyle, of Los Alamos, Marion, the mother of his son, Kyle's girlfriend, Alegra Martinez, his aunt and uncle, Bob and Lillian Apodoca, and countless cousins and friends. Jimbo was preceded in death by his grandparents, Celina and Emilio Lovato, Clyde and Aletha Hutton, and many other aunts and uncles.

Jimbo was a very kind and thoughtful man who touched many lives. He spent countless hours coaching little league baseball and basketball and was an inspiration to youth in Los Alamos. Jimbo had a great marketing mind and was skillful at fundraising for causes and charities. He was the principle person for an annual golf tournament that raised a significant amount of money for UNM's Children's Hospital. His heart was for youth and he seemed to have an eye for nurturing them in a way that prepared them for their future. He had an easy-going and caring nature, with an affable demeanor, that enabled him to look on the bright side of life and circumstances, even when life was difficult. He was a giving person, often offering himself to others with his quiet kindness. Jimbo also had an unshakable obsession for the Dallas Cowboys and the Los Angeles Dodgers, and his clothing and collection of sports memorabilia attested to this. He was an avid fisherman and had many opportunities in his life to fish the waters of New Mexico, particularly with his father. He traveled a lot, especially with family, and he loved cruises and seeing the world. Jimbo was definitely a lover of fine music, predominantly rock'n roll, and enjoyed imparting this passion to others. He took great satisfaction in playing his drums and was a DJ for a time in his life. He loved driving fancy cars, mostly from the fine collection of his father's vehicles. His drink of choice was Route 44 diet Dr. Pepper from Sonic and he would often be seen carrying one of those big cups and sipping on it. He valued family and had a great love and devotion to his parents. His son was the light of his life and he poured into Kyle's life with loving care and devotion. He treasured the many years of watching Kyle grow up into a mature man, taking joy in his son's achievements. His love for the Lord was expressed throughout his life and he shared his faith with others even at an early age. Jimbo cared very much for his friends and loved ones, being touched deeply by their pain. He was diligent to pray every day for all of those whom he held dearly in his heart. He will be missed by so many who were moved by his kindness and generosity, as well as his warm and positive approach to life.
