Javier Argueta Obituary
Javier Robles Argueta, age 88, was born on November 15th, 1935, in Fresnillo, Mexico and was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, NM. He was a dedicated, loyal, father and grandfather, who passed away Friday, March 30th, 2024.
Javier was known for his strength and devotion to his Family. Javier, a retired General Contractor, owned and managed a successful Construction Company for over 45 years. He loved fishing and most of all was an avid Los Angeles Dodgers baseball fan.
He is survived by his children, Edward Argueta and spouse, G. Vanessa; Carlos Argueta and spouse, Lisa; and Javier Argueta and spouse, Leeanae; other children include Estela Montanez Whitely and Ruben Montanez; his loving grandchildren, Valerie, Nicole, Alex, Lauren, Arianna, Alexa, RayeVen and William; and many beautiful great-grandchildren; he also leaves many cherished nieces, nephews and cousins.
Javier was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Cordova; his parents, Jose Santos Martinez Argueta and Maria de la Luz Robles Quintanar; and his siblings, Ruben, Santos (Veño), and Florentino.
A rosary will be held Wednesday, April 17, 2024, commencing at 8:15 a.m., followed by a Mass at 9:00 a.m., at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Catholic Church, located at 5901 St. Joseph's Dr NW - Albuquerque. Interment will follow at 10:00 a.m., at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd NE Albuquerque. Please visit our online guestbook for Javier at

We are Michael & Ruth, we are sorry 2 hear of yr father's passing. Your father built our home in 1977, the home we live in today. Your father is someone you would not forget if you met him. We were fortunate to have your father as our builder,we were young and Mr.Argueta guided us through some decisions we were not sure of and with his direction the right decision was made. He was always kind, knowledgeable and always listened when we had questions. He was a good man and we are sorry for your loss.A family may never know how many people a parent has impacted another's life. These many many years later we are two of the people that are grateful for your father's work ethic. God Bless you all at this sad time
