Cortez, Jesus

Jesus (Jessie) Cortez greeted his Lord on March 15, 2015. The best anyone can say about another, is that it made a difference that person lived. That statement can certainly be said about Jessie. Jessie left a positive mark on this world and will be missed tremendously. He was the type of person everyone aspires to be. His generosity and ability to empathize with others was unsurpassed. Whatever the situation, Jessie could be counted on to immediately jump in to help. So we say goodbye, to our friend and loved one, hoping he is finding a new fishing hole where the fish are big and active.

He is survived by his beloved wife Peggy, grandson Joshua, daughter Yolanda,

son Jessie, brother Pete, sisters Yvonne, Debra, and Soakie, numerous in-laws, nephews, nieces, cousins, and the friends who meant so much to him.

A memorial service is being held at Heights Christian Church in Albuquerque on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be given in Jesus's honor to DAV (Disabled American Veterans). To share any memories with Jessie's family please visit www.danielsfuneral.com

Although Jessie has been gone for a while I only found out about his passing recently as I had lost touch with Jessie and Peggy, I am deeply sad for the loss of this good human being and a good friend. My Heartfelt condolences to Peggy, family, and friends. The lives of many were blessed for knowing this good-hearted and generous man. God Bless. 8/8/2018

Dear Peggy and family,I was so shocked and sad to learn of Jessie's passing. We worked together at ACVB for many years, and he never failed to be helpful, supportive, and a friend to all. Jessie always had a smile on his face and a new joke to share. He loved his family and talked about them often. He was a gentle, good man who touched many with his kindness.
