Joann Clark Obituary

Joann Clark

Joann "Jody" Gloria Clark, age 53, returned home to the Lord on July 7, 2024 after a short battle against an aggressive cancer. Joann was born on March 9, 1971 in Albuquerque, NM and graduated from La Cueva High School in Albuquerque.

Joann is preceded in death by her mother, after whom she was named, Joann G. Clark. She is survived by her father, John W. Clark; sons, Zachary Clark of Albuquerque, Christopher Williams (and Viveka) of Appleton, WI, and John J. Clark (and Terra) of Fort Lauderdale, FL; and grandchildren, Noah and Emilia Clark.

Joann was a devoted mother that provided for three sons, instilling in them the importance of faith in God, a strong work ethic, the value of education, and a deep respect for others. She will be remembered as a lover of animals and a fan of classic rock and sports. Above all she will be remembered for her love of family. Despite many miles between, she always found new ways for her sons and grandchildren to feel and to know her love.

Our family is extremely grateful for the prayers and care given to her by friends and coworkers in her final weeks, and is consoled to know how much she was loved by all.

A funeral Mass will be held at Risen Savior Catholic Community on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. The recitation of the rosary will begin immediately before the Mass at 9:00 a.m.
