John Hobbs Obituary

John William Hobbs

John William Hobbs, born August 17, 1950, passed away in his home in Rio Rancho, NM on December 14, 2024.

He was known by those around him to be empathetic, easy to talk to, and charismatic. Loving to work with his hands, he was a man of many trades while still being a master of one. A skilled electrician, he worked on major projects in El Paso, Texas and throughout New Mexico. He took pride in his work contributing to hospitals, major digital companies, as well as major research institutes. He mentored apprentices and peers throughout his career while lending an ear to others.

He is survived by his son John William Hobbs II; daughter Jennifer Jaske; brother James William Hobbs II; sisters Shirley Eastman, Sandra Beckford, and Winona Limones; four grandchildren Cannon, Brody, Grant, and Alexander Hobbs; loving D.O.G.; and immensely loving ties to Sophie Benali and family.
