If you are reading this, I have already gone to whatever is next after this life. Even though I'm 76 and knew I wouldn't be around forever, this all seemed to happen way too fast for my taste. I loved my life. I loved to sing, play the tambourine and dance (especially in a dive bar with a live band). I loved dogs - my own and everyone else's. I especially loved the dogs who did not have a personso much that I volunteered at the City Animal Shelter to make sure the dogs who were there felt kindness and got a treat once in a while.

I loved my husband David more than I ever imagined was possible. Our life together was truly an incredible journey filled with travel and adventurewe went where the wind blew us and we spontaneously decided to buy an RV, sell our house and travel the country with a dog named Bessie and a parrot named Fred in tow for a year, and never look back. When we were finished with that adventure, we decided to sell the RV and buy a house in the funky little town of Bisbee, Arizona where we stayed, worked and had fun with the many friends we made there. When we left Bisbee in 2010, we went "home" to Albuquerque and spent the rest of our lives there. David died in 2020, and I am now following him across the Rainbow Bridge (I know that's usually reserved for dogs, but I'm thinking we will go there too because of the dogs and how much we both love a good, spontaneous adventure.)

I loved my family and the many dear friends I made over the years. I did NOT love leaving them when I left on this particular journey. My heart stays with my sister Vivia and her husband John, my sister Jane and her husband JD, along with their daughter-my beloved smart, beautiful and successful niece, Abby and her life partner, Brian. My heart is also with all the family on David's side including his brothers and their children.

And of course, finally, Lola, my sweet little dog made of spare parts who devoted her life to sitting on my lap sharing in my joys and licking my tears away when I was sad.
