Marjorie Hubert Obituary
Marjorie Lease Hubert (Margie), age 79, passed away from the ravages of ALS on April 25, 2016. She was born on a farm near Madison, SD in 1937, to Norman and Ella Limmer Lease. She graduated from high school in Madison, SD and South Dakota State University in 1959 with highest honors, where she met Jim, her husband to be. They were married in 1960 and very grateful for their nearly 56 years of life together.
She is survived by her husband, Jim; son, Dan and Paula, grandchildren Dane and Jaeger of Juneau, AK; and, daughter, Amy and Tim O'Brien, grandchildren Eliana and Zachary in ABQ. She is also survived by sisters Jeanene (Roy) Lingle of Madison, SD and Norma Kay (Don) of Yuma, AZ; and many nieces and nephews.
She taught home economics and science in high schools in Norfolk, NE, Prairie du Chien, WI, and Benson, MN. She will be fondly missed by her family and many friends. Margie was a life-long Lutheran with a strong faith in Christ. She was active in her church wherever she lived in SD, NE, WI, MN, IL, VA, TX, and NM.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Faith Lutheran Church or the ALS Association.
A memorial service will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, 10,000 Spain NE, ABQ on May 1st at 2:00 pm.
