Mark Filkins Obituary
Mark H. Filkins, 70, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother was called to his eternal resting place on February 8, 2017. He entered this world on November 6, 1946 in Raton, NM, born to Daniel G. and Jean E. Filkins. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Filkins; son, Ronald Filkins; daughter, Janna F. Walls; granddaughters, Kelsey Filkins and Malory Walls; great-granddaughter, Piper Filkins; and brothers, Daniel and Timothy Filkins.
Mark served in the Air Force from 1971 - 1977. He retired from Southern Company in Birmingham, AL after 35 years of service. Mark was a devoted fan of Alabama football -- Roll Tide!

Carolyn, just received a phone call from Dan Montoya informing me of Mark's passing. My deepest condolences! I do realize that 50 years have passed since high school but I did think of you guys through the years. I have always wondered what became of a lot of folks from Roy. I hope that you are well and please pass my condolences to the rest of your family. My prayers are with you guys.
