Gallegos, Nancy



Nancy Gallegos, 78, honest, unflinchingly loyal, and the biggest supporter of all of her children, passed away on January 26, 2017. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and friend. She was born on January 18, 1939 in the Barelas neighborhood of Albuquerque, NM and was married to Larry Gallegos, Sr. until his death in 1993. She and Larry made a home in Albuquerque and raised three successful children, Lori Montoya (Anthony), Larry Gallegos, (Diana) and Robert Gallegos. Throughout her life, Nancy would be seen in the front row at all of her grandchildren's academic and athletic activities. Her support was forever unending to her children and of course to her grandchildren, Anthony Jr, Lisa, and Matthew Montoya, Jason (Caitlin), Christopher, Jessica Gallegos, Krystal (Anthony) Salazar and Anastasia Gallegos; Gabriella and Ariana Gallegos. Her great-grandchildren are Izaiah, Ayva and Jude Salazar. She is survived by her best friend and sister, Angie Wagner (Tom), her brother Albert (Diane) Archibeque, brother-in-law, Felix Gallegos and numerous nieces & nephews.

A Viewing will be held Monday, January 30, 2017 at 6:00 p.m., followed by a rosary at 7:00 p.m., at FRENCH â€" Westside. A Mass will be held Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Parish, 5901 St. Josephs Drive NW, followed by a burial at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Anthony Montoya Jr., Matthew Montoya, Jason Gallegos, Christopher Gallegos, Anthony Salazar and Tom Wagner. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jim Armijo and Felix Gallegos.
