Natividad Lopez Obituary
Natividad Velasquez Lopez passed away in her Albuquerque home on Friday, October 29th, 2021.
Memorial arrangements will be made later.
She was born June 25, 1925 in Urbiztondo, Pangasinan, Philippines to parents Damaso Velasquez and Maria Alvarez.
Graduated High School , apprenticed as a Nurse's Aide in Dagupan City Provincial Hospital, Pangasinan, Philippines.
She loved spending time with her family. She also was an avid gardener, enjoyed cooking for and feeding family, delighted in family gatherings, loved to travel and visit, practiced her Christianity and enjoyed her TV game shows.
She was the beloved matriarch of a large extended family. Including her nine daughters and sons, R Magdalene Canyon, Carmelita Shambo. Dorothy Ludwig, Florence Lacerda, Estanislao Lopez, Cecilia Cooper, Cathy Brockseiker, Ray Lopez and Allan Lopez. She also has 19 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband Felicisimo Fernandez Lopez and her sister Aurelia Velasquez Doria.

We miss my Auntie Naty, one of my Matriarchs, who is now an Angel smiling down from Heaven, with her husband, Simoy and the rest of her heavenly family.
As a young teenager growing up in Oakland, CA, she and my other Aunties and Uncles, were a great influence and inspiration to keep my faith in Jesus that I could be the best that I can be to make my family proud. These photos (circa 1950's) show Auntie Naty and some of my relatives as I knew her. There were birthdays, baptisms, confirmations, weddings, Dimas Alang lodge celebrations at our homes in Oakland and Berkeley and other Bay Area cities. One of the pictures was taken at a family picnic at Lake Merritt and the one with her holding a baby. which I think, may be her daughter, Jeanie and the other is a gathering of the Aquino's, DeGuzmans, Fernandez, Lopez, Bautista, Valerios, Ramos, Advincula and other Filipino families too numerous to remember as these photos were taken over 70 years ago...
