Patricia Marie Balok, 78, passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2021, in Roswell, New Mexico.

There will be a memorial service at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at 9:30 AM.

On April 13, 1943, Patricia was born to Harold and Marie Cochrell in East Detroit, Michigan. She graduated from high school and continued her education at a university, where she received her master's in teaching. Patricia was the beloved wife of Jack Balok, whom she married on June 19, 1965, and has preceded her in death.

Prior to retirement, she worked as a librarian and teacher. Patricia had a special gift for teaching children and shared her talents teaching at several schools in Mckinley County and taught at the UNM Gallup Branch.

Patricia loved volunteering at Wilson Cobb Library. She was a dedicated member of Genealogy Society, Garden Club, Civil Air Patrol, and many other clubs, where Patricia specialized in compassionate service. She was always very involved with organizations for many years.

She loved all her children and grandchildren more than anything in the world and she always made sure they knew it. Patricia will be missed by her loved ones.

Those left to eternally treasure and cherish memories of Patricia are Shawn Balok, and wife, Michelle, Aron Balok, and wife Hayly, Brandi White, and husband Brent; grandchildren: Brett, Rylee, Megyn, Kira, Kimber, Justin, Tiffany, Brook, Deven, and Hayden; great-granddaughter, Ivy; as well as her siblings: Gary Cochrell, and wife Ruby, Bill Cochrell, and wife Nancie, and Curt Cochrell, and wife Dottie.

Patricia is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Balok; and her parents: Harold and Marie Cochrell.
