Richard Jaramillo Obituary

Richard Jaramillo

Richard Jaramillo, a devoted Popie, a cherished individual known for his clever sense of humor, infectious love for life, that brought joy to everyone that ever met him, with a laugh that would light up any room passed away on November 12, 2024.

Rick is survived by his son Joseph Jaramillo, daughter Kimberly Castillo-Jaramillo, daughter in-law Desarae Castillo-Jaramillo and brother Anthony Jaramillo. Rick's departure leaves an unfillable void in their lives, yet we find comfort in the memories, everlasting love they shared and knowing he is no longer in pain.

All children loved Rick probably because he was just a big kid himself. He loved all holidays but Independence Day was his favorite. As long as we could remember Popie would "blow up the park" by putting on a spectacular show for the neighborhood.

A talented artist, Rick thrived at ceramics, pottery, lapidary and glass blowing. He loved the beach and the mountains. Rick had many interests such as bowling, softball, gambling, playing his harmonica, hunting, fishing, horse racing but barbecuing with the family brought him the most joy.

Rick is proceeded in death by his father Joe, mother Gloria and nephew Anthony Reynaldo Jaramillo.

Rick's final wishes were to be cremated and his ashes "thrown into the Rio Grande River". The family will have a celebration of life at a later date.

His love will forever reside in our hearts and his spirit will live through us. Rick was loved by many and will never be forgotten.
