Socorro Munoz Obituary
Socorro P. Muñoz, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 14, 2023. She joined her husband Manuel on the day of their 65th wedding anniversary. Socorro is remembered for her quiet fortitude and perseverance in staying with her children as long as she could, showing great love for her family. Socorro was born in Sherman NM, residing many years in Cuba and Albuquerque. She is survived by her children, Julia Sedillo (Oscar), Debbie Salas, Martha Muñoz, Barbara Fernandez (Danté) and Charles Muñoz; her grandchildren, David, Angela, Javier, Daniel, Anita, Amanda, Anthony, Cecilia, and Maria; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Sienna, Cristiano, Daniel, Roman and Sebastian; and cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, father, mother, sisters, and brothers. A Visitation will be held Monday, Jun 26, 2023, from 5:00-7:00
p.m., with a Rosary following at
FRENCH- Wyoming. On Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at 9:30 a.m. there will be
a Mass at Risen Savior
Catholic Community, 7701 Wyoming Blvd NE. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd NE. Please visit our online guest book for Socorro at

My sincerest condolences. I fondly remember Socorro when she came in to Dr. Shapiro for foot care. What a very sweet lady she was. I am so very sorry.

My condolence to her family. She was such a beautiful and friendly soul. I met her and Manuel at the hospital where he was a volunteer. I fell in love with them both. He became a friend and he would tell me his family. He introduce me to her at at the Christmas arts and craft. They were so nice. I am sorry for your loss. God gain two beautiful angels.
