Susan Colburn Obituary
During the evening of July 24, 2022, Susan Marguerete Colburn of Albuquerque, New Mexico died at the age of 97. Susan was the fifth child born to Hannah and Harry Artons of Salem, New Jersey in 1924. On August 23, 1947, Susan married Henry G. Colburn in Penns Grove New Jersey. They raised four children in the Philadelphia area until 1971, when they moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Susan was a successful small business owner for many years. She loved opera and classical music, attending events in Philadelphia, Albuquerque, and Santa Fe. She was also an avid cook and baker. After her children were grown, Sue volunteered with the Peace Corps, working in Africa, and Jamaica.
Susan was preceded in death by her husband Henry on April 22 1976. She is survived by sons, Grove (Madeline), Chris (Ellen), Peter, her daughter Loren Colburn, and grandson Ian (Dani Belvin).
Susan was cremated, and will be interred at the Santa Fe Memorial Cemetery in Santa Fe New Mexico, along with her husband's ashes.
