Susanna Maydew Obituary
Susanna "Jean" Maydew, age 87, beloved sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend passed away on July 2, 2022. Jean was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM. Jean graduated Highland HS and attended UNM. Jean's ability to connect with a wide variety of people was her true calling. Jean was always involved in numerous church and community projects, as well as getting her real estate license and being a million-dollar producer with Hooten Stahl Realty. Jean taught Sunday school, vacation bible school and was a founding member of the embroidery guild at her church. She traveled to Europe and across the United States to explore and visit family and friends. She enjoyed playing games, discussing books, current events, quilting, sewing, knitting and much more.
Jean is preceded in death by her father, Ora Glaze; mother, Tressie Glaze; and husband, Randall C. Maydew. Jean is survived by her brother, Owen William Glaze and wife, Laurie; daughter, Susan Wilson and husband, Sam; son, Steven Pannell and wife, Regina; daughter, Sandra Schindler and husband, David; son, Randall Paul Maydew and wife, Allis; daughter, Barbara Maydew and husband, Kevin Buescher; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; and many dear friends.
Jean was a life-long member of Central United Methodist Church in Albuquerque, NM where her Memorial Service and Celebration of Life Service will be held on July 30, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made on Jean's behalf to the American Heart Association or Central United Methodist Church Children's Ministry.
