Tracy Hall Obituary

Tracy D. Hall

Tracy D. Hall, age 82, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Monday, May 20, 2024. Tracy was born on June 12, 1941 in Anderson, Indiana and moved to Albuquerque with his parents in 1948. He has lived in Albuquerque since that time.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbert and Grace Hall; his youngest son, Darryl Hall, who passed away in 1992 and son, John Garcia, who passed away in 2014.

He is survived by his wife, Ernestine of 61 years, of Cochiti Pueblo; their son, Timothy Garcia and his wife, Kim of Albuquerque; daughter, Carleen Mody and husband, Dwight of Cochiti Pueblo; son, Ronald Hall of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Tracey Suina, Heather Pham and husband, Giao, Ashley Zamora, Sharon Garcia, Ben Zamora, Raena Garcia, Jacob Garcia, and Masewa Mody, great-grandchildren, Dylon and Desirae Suina, and Kai, Marissa, and Hannah Zamora. Tracy has numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and in-laws in California, Indiana, New Mexico, and Virginia.

Tracy was an electrician (same as his father) for over 45 years and was known for his dedication to the IBEW, Local 611, the Dallas Cowboys and especially his patriotic dedication in "Purchasing American Products." He spent his life volunteering for church and community activities, including Boy and Girl Scouts, little league, and political projects and events.

He was respected by his family as being very generous with whatever was asked of him and especially loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved his wife dearly and learned and appreciated the Native American people, their customs, and traditions. The Halls traveled to all 50 states more than once in their dedication and participation at the annual Saint Kateri Tekakwitha conferences for over 25 years, along with many other Native American events. They were involved in the Marriage Enrichment Weekend program for over 35 years.

Tracy has chosen to be cremated, he knows spiritually, he and his wife will be in the same place forever. Please visit our online guestbook for Tracy at

We retirees will miss Tracy - his quick wit, his shared experiences, his reverence for memories of how we got here. He was a valued member of any team he joined, and served as an historian (with pictures, yet!) of many organizations who were fortunate enough to claim him as a member. Rest in peace, my good friend, you have earned your retirement. You will be missed.
