Victor Armijo Obituary
1940-2017
Victor Albert Armijo, age 77, a resident of Gladstone, NM, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at his home in Los Lunas, NM. He was born and raised on the prairie ranch lands of Gladstone, NM. Victor had a deep love and devotion to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was deeply devoted to his family and wife Sharon. He loved music. Victor enjoyed playing guitar, singing, and country dancing. He had a long career with Boeing working on the Space Shuttle Main Engine. Victor loved being on the ranch riding horses, tending to his orchard and taking walks up his beautiful foresty canyon.
He is preceded in death by his parents Samuel E. and Elena (Romero) Armijo; sister, Lucinda A. Marcum; brother, Alfonso Armijo; and nephew, Luis Victor Grine.
Victor is survived by his loving wife Sharon Rose Platte Armijo; children, Victor Jr., Danny, Steven Armijo, and Laura Poulet: grandchildren, Ryan, Paige and Tessa and great-grandchildren, Derrick and Axel; step-sons, William and Robert McMullens; sisters, Angelita, Alicia, Carolina (Bill), Beatriz Amadita (Luis), and Leduina; and brothers, J.B. (Madelyn), Gilbert Lewis, and Gerald (Rosario) Armijo.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017, at 7:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:30 p.m. at San Clemente Catholic Church in Los Lunas, NM. A Final Viewing will be held on Monday, May 8, 2017, at 10:00 a.m., with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., at St Joseph Catholic Church in Springer, NM. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Palo Blanco, Chico, NM. Pallbearers are, Victor Jr., Danny, Steven, J.B., Gilbert Lewis, and Gerald Armijo. Honorary Pallbearer will be Jerry Johnson. Arrangements are being handled by the caring professionals at the Noblin Funeral Service Los Lunas Chapel, 2211-D Main St., (505) 866-9992, where an online guest register is available at
