Anita Viator Broussard

1924 - 2018

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mrs. Anita Viator Broussard, 93, on Thursday February 8, 2018 at 10:00AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Broussard. A visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Wednesday February 7, 2018 from 4:00PM until 8:00PM and will resume on Thursday February 8, 2018 at 8:00AM until services. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. A native of Coteau, LA and a resident of Broussard, Mrs. Broussard passed away on February 4, 2018 at Brookdale Assisted Living in Lafayette. She was known to many for her kindness and love and she was loved dearly by her family and friends. Anita served for 35 years as a religion Teacher and was honored in 2005 with the Teacher of the Year Award. She belonged to many organizations including; Christian Women's Club, Come Lord Jesus and Ladies Altar Society. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Alphonse D. Broussard; her Parents, Ovey and Elmina Viator; numerous brothers, sisters and three brothers-in-law. Mrs. Broussard is survived by her sons; Dan Broussard of New Iberia, Randy Paul and his wife Jamie Broussard and Timothy Broussard of Lafayette; one daughter, Peggy Bienvenu of Lafayette; three sisters-in-law Francis Morvant, Jeanette Viator and Rita Mae Viator; Two sisters, Lucy Russo and her husband Ernie and Charlene Guillot; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers will be Dan Broussard, Timothy Broussard, Randy Broussard, Adam Bourque and Patrick Stutes. The Family would like to give thanks to the employees of Brookdale Senior Solutions and nurses of all care for their love and kindness to Anita they provided to her until her death.
