Grace Estelle Dow Holbrook

Funeral services will be conducted for Grace Estelle Dow Holbrook, 93, on Wednesday, December 14, 2016, at 1:00 PM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Jody Simoneaux officiating. Burial will follow in St. John Mausoleum. Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 14, 2016, from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM and a rosary will be prayed in the funeral home at 11:00 AM. A native and resident of Jeanerette, Mrs. Holbrook passed away on Monday, December 14, 2016, at 10:31 AM upon arrival at a Lafayette hospital. As a young girl she enjoyed performing with the Jeanerette Community Band. Later, after raising three children and caring for her husband stricken with ALS, she because Secretary of the Iberia Parish Library System for 20 plus years. Known for her fun-loving spirit, she loved attending mass, doing crossword puzzles, dancing, good food, friends and family. She is survived by her son, Robert "Bob" Holbrook and his wife Kim of Youngsville; her daughters, Peggy H. Faucheaux and her husband Louis of Youngsville and Annette Holbrook of New Iberia; her grandchildren, Kelly F. Salerno and her husband Paul, Katy F. Moody and her husband Michael, Amy F. Casey and her husband Matt, Darnell Charpentier and his wife Emilie, Robyn Holbrook, Robert "Bobby" Giles Holbrook, II and his wife Jennifer, Samuel "Sammy" Holbrook and his wife Ramsey and Michelle G. Seaton and her husband Theodore "Trey"; twelve great grandchildren and two great grandchildren on the way. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" Holbrook, Sr.; her parents, Giles Dow and Annette Landry Dow. Pallbearers will be Robert "Bobby" Giles Holbrook, II, Samuel "Sammy" Holbrook, Theodore "Trey" Seaton, Carson King, Michael Moody, Josh Christopher Freeman and Robert "Bob" Holbrook.
