Joseph L. Devillier Sr.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 12, 2017 at a 1:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Leonville for Joseph Devillier, Sr., age 38, who passed away Friday, January 6, 2017 at Opelousas General Health System in Opelousas. Interment will be in St. Leo the Great Cemetery in Leonville. The Rev. Kenneth Domingue, pastor of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, will officiate at the services. Mr. Devillier was a native of Opelousas and a resident of Eunice. Survivors include his mother, Rita Ann Bergeron; his companion of 19 years, Angie Sonnier; two sons, Joseph L. Devillier, Jr. and Aaron L. Devillier; and one daughter, Amber N. Devillier, all of Eunice; one brother, Eddie Devillier; one sister, Stacey Stelly; and numerous aunts, uncles, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Devillier; and his maternal grandparents, Alvin Bergeron and Pearl E. Bergeron. A rosary will be prayed Thursday in the funeral home. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. Thursday until service time at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Leonville on Thursday.
